Fighting Iguanas Lose, 8-2, at Camel Tow Park
|
Framingham played host to Boca Raton at the friendly confines of Camel Tow Park.
The Framingham Fighting Camels topped the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 8-2, in Prince Fielder League action at Camel Tow Park. The player of the game was Framingham pitcher and Scottsdale, Arizona native Tom Greer. Greer picked up the win for Framingham, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-5. Vicente Banderas notched his 2nd save in 3 chances.
Fred Seiffert, who is tied for 3rd in the PFL with a .636 slugging percentage, aided the Framingham cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder was 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI.
"We take it day by day here," said Seiffert, "and today was a good one for us."
