Victory Over KO Takes Rockville to 49-11
|
The Rockville Rangers defeated the Long Beach KO, 14-5. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Roberto Villa, who went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. The Rangers improved to a lofty 49-11.
Jesus Villanueva, who is tied for 7th in the PFL in hits with 71, aided the Rockville cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 2-6 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
In comments to the Rockville News, Villanueva insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
