The Long Beach KO topped the Caribbean Commies, 9-3, in Prince Fielder League action at Castro Field. The player of the game was Long Beach pitcher Mike Tallman. Yonetoshi Morikawa converted his 4th save in 6 tries. The KO bumped their record to 33-24 with this latest triumph.

Robby Craig aided the Long Beach cause with a 2-run single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
