The Cabo San Lucas Toreros topped the Bloomington Blazers, 11-5, in Thurman Munson League action at Field de Los Layendas. The player of the game was Cabo San Lucas designated hitter George Guinn. Cabo San Lucas starter Phoenix Smith was credited with the win after throwing 143 pitches over 8.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-12. Even with the win, the Toreros have a dismal 32-62 record.

The Toreros got a big at-bat from left fielder Kajal Ghandi. For the game, Ghandi was 2-5 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 62nd hit of the season gave Cabo San Lucas a 6-5 lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Guinn said.
