Commies Lose, 5-1, at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium
Rockville played host to Caribbean at the friendly confines of Brewbaker Memorial Stadium.

The Rockville Rangers got a good effort from starter Luis Silva in defeating the Caribbean Commies at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium. The final score was 5-1. Silva, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Naotake Nakamura got credit for the save for Rockville. It was his 2nd of the year.

Early in the game, left fielder Keith Hawley had a 2-run single for Rockville. It was his 49th hit of the season and put the Rangers on top, 2-0.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Hawley said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Rockville leads the Prince Fielder League Tony Fernandez Division by 8½ games.
