Scorpions Win at Caribbean, 3-2
|
The Scorpions had to overcome a good performance from Caribbean pitcher Luis Santana to claim a 3-2 win at Castro Field. Santana went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Scottsdale is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Hector Espino, who is tied for 4th in the PFL in doubles with 12, aided the Scottsdale cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4.
Afterward, Scorpions manager Marcel Devaux was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
