The Caribbean Commies and Scottsdale Scorpions provided some drama at Castro Field.

The Scottsdale Scorpions scored a 4-3 win versus the Caribbean Commies at Castro Field. Scottsdale pitcher Jung-sang Lee nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Scottsdale reliever Dave Rodgers picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jose Laracuente shouldered the loss.

The Scorpions got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Jim Unknown. For the game, Unknown was 1-1 with a home run. In the top of the tenth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Scottsdale a 4-3 lead.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Scorpions manager Marcel Devaux. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."

At 18-29, the Scorpions are currently last in the Prince Fielder League Tony Fernandez Division.
