Scorpions Win at Brooklyn, 4-1
The Scottsdale Scorpions topped the Brooklyn Cyclones by the score of 4-1, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Salvador Cruz. Cruz went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Scorpions. Scottsdale reliever Nelson Ramirez picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-1. Alex Figueroa was collared with the loss. Even with the win, the Scorpions have a dismal 14-26 record.

Cruz had a key at-bat for Scottsdale early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and gave Scottsdale an early 2-0 lead.
