The Brooklyn Cyclones defeated the Scottsdale Scorpions, 6-3. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Mauro Silva, who went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Brooklyn reliever Nate Corso picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Seikichi Ohira absorbed the loss. Brooklyn, at 21-17, sits in first place in the Prince Fielder League John Mayberry Division.
Pedro Vázquez aided the Brooklyn cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder was 1-4 with a home run.
