The Barbados Revenge defeated the Caribbean Commies, 1-0, in Prince Fielder League action at Castro Field, with Barbados pitcher Mike Huerta named player of the game. Barbados reliever Mike Huerta got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Luis Santana was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Aaron Carter, his 9th.
Barbados used the timely hitting of Winn Miller to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Revenge on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said Caribbean manager Ánibal Machado. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
Barbados has an impressive 25-12 record.
