Commies Stymie Barbados, Take 4-1 Win
|
The Caribbean Commies dealt the Barbados Revenge a 4-1 loss at Castro Field. Jerry Swope was the star on offense. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Aaron Valenti closed it out for his 1st save. The Commies raised their record to 16-20.
With Caribbean leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Swope hit a fastball from Ethan Harris for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Commies ahead, 3-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Swope.
