Streaking Rangers Win Another One
|
Union center fielder Devin Colvin had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-3, to Rockville at Poters Field. Colvin went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Rockville reliever Enrique Santiago was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Omar Avalos took the loss for Union. Rockville has an impressive 23-7 record.
J.P. Turner hit a run-scoring triple off Omar Avalos in the top of the second, which put the Rangers in front, 1-0. Turner had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"I like our moxie," said Rangers manager Chris Sexton.
