Fighting Iguanas Fall Short, 2-1, at Scottsdale
|
It was a fun time at Scottsdale Stadium, where the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas and Scottsdale Scorpions tangled.
The Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas wasted an inspired, 7-inning effort from starter Eddy Johnston, falling 2-1 to the Scottsdale Scorpions at Scottsdale Stadium. Larry Hall closed the game out for Scottsdale, earning his 2nd save.
Marcos Vallejo aided the Scottsdale cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-3 with a home run.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Vallejo said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
Scottsdale is now riding a 3-game win streak.
