Victory Over Rangers Takes El Paso to 14-9
|
The El Paso Bomberos topped the Rockville Rangers by the score of 9-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Jay Liburdi. Liburdi was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Bomberos on the day. Francisco Trevino earned the win for El Paso. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 1-2. The Bomberos bumped their record to 14-9 with this latest triumph.
Liburdi had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Bomberos went on to win.
