Despite the rain, the fans at Vin Scully Park enjoyed a good ballgame.
Getting an impressive start from Alex Figueroa, Brooklyn beat Boca Raton by the score of 4-2. Figueroa, now 4-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 11, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Kenny Moran earned the save, his 6th.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from catcher Gil Perez. For the game, Perez went 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-1 lead.
Figueroa called the win "a collective effort."
