Duran Dazzles in Boca Raton Win
|
Boca Raton right-hander Juan Duran pitched his team to a shutout win, 6-0, over the Brooklyn Cyclones. The Fighting Iguanas bumped their record to 12-11 with this latest triumph.
Duran, a native of San Francisco, Costa Rica, was dealing all game. He kept Brooklyn hitters off-balance, while giving the Fighting Iguanas 7.1 quality innings. Duran threw 102 pitches, allowing 6 hits and striking out 10.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Duran said.
