The Santa Barbara Suenos defeated the Framingham Fighting Camels, 10-4, in Prince Fielder League action at Camel Tow Park, with Santa Barbara pitcher Ids Haasjes named player of the game. The Suenos move to 13-10 with the win, while the Fighting Camels drop to 8-15.
Francisco Vásquez was 2-5 with 2 singles for Santa Barbara. The 21-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Tom Greer. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
In postgame comments to the Santa Barbara Chronicle, Vásquez said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
