The rain came, as predicted, but the Union Farmers and Framingham Fighting Camels were able to complete their ballgame.

The Union Farmers stopped the Framingham Fighting Camels, 6-1, at Camel Tow Park. The Farmers got a big game from Rufino Cortez, who was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Even with the win, the Farmers have a dismal 6-15 record.

The Farmers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Alex Salinas. For the game, Salinas was 1-3 with a walk, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Union a 2-1 lead.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Cortez said after the game.
