Farmers Lose, 3-1, at Vin Scully Park
|
Perry Groenendijk pitched well, but the Union Farmers still lost the game, falling 3-1 to the Brooklyn Cyclones at Vin Scully Park. The win was credited to Angelo Cobian in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Perry Groenendijk took the loss. The Cyclones bumped their record to 13-5 with this latest triumph.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from first baseman Gus Guzman. For the game, Guzman was 2-4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 5th hit of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-1 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Guzman said.
