Rangers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The exploits of right fielder Jonathan Weidlich, who is tied for 4th in the PFL in runs scored with 14, helped the Rockville Rangers defeat the Scottsdale Scorpions, 6-1. Weidlich was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Rockville reliever Naotake Nakamura picked up the win to move to 1-0. Elias Ortiz suffered the loss. Rockville is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Giichiro Dunn, who is tied for 6th in the PFL in runs scored with 13, helped out the Rockville cause in the top of the fourth inning with a bases-clearing triple. For the game, the center fielder was 2-5 with a triple and a double, while adding 4 RBI.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Weidlich.
