Santa Barbara Suenos starter Eric Sauer was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Barbados Revenge, 4-3. Sauer went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 11. His record improves to 3-0. Ricky Alvarado sewed up the save, his 8th.
The Suenos got a big at-bat from catcher Enrique Guerrero. For the game, Guerrero went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Santa Barbara a 2-1 lead.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Sauer said.
The Suenos are now 9-7, while the Revenge fall to 9-7.
