Suenos Win at Boca Raton, 3-1

The Santa Barbara Suenos got a magnificent effort from pitcher Juan Ortiz, who kept Boca Raton hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Suenos win at Scripps Field. Ortiz went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 8. His record improves to 1-2. The Fighting Iguanas fall to 5-7 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2033 season.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when second baseman Nick Corpus hit a double. The Suenos went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Corpus.
