Fighting Camels Lose, 4-1, at Castro Field
|
The Framingham Fighting Camels got a superb performance from pitcher Tom Greer. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Caribbean. The Commies won the game, 4-1. In spite of the loss, Greer was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. Caribbean reliever Alex Garrastazu picked up the win to move to 1-1. Dave Paredes suffered the loss. The Fighting Camels fall to 5-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2033.
Jerry Swope's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Caribbean. Coming to bat with one out, a runner on 2nd and Caribbean trailing 1-0, the second baseman hit a run-scoring single.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Swope said after the game.
