Bush Wackers Win, Move to Within 1 Game of Single A World Series
Riding the 4-hit performance of designated hitter Jake Polander, the Brisbane Bush Wackers got a road win against the Houston Sting, 7-5, in Game 5 of the Single A League Championship today. Polander was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 3 runs for the Bush Wackers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 4 games to 1.

Brisbane first baseman Conrad Zijlstra helped the Bush Wackers go up, 5-3, in the top of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Zijlstra hit a 2-run double off Houston pitcher Jim Currie.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Brisbane manager Pete Barrett.
