Road Win Lifts Brisbane to 2-1 Lead in R1
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman Conrad Zijlstra, the Brisbane Bush Wackers got a road win against the Houston Sting, 7-4, in Game 3 of the Single A League Championship today. Zijlstra was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Bush Wackers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Yoichibei Azuma's at-bat in the top of the first inning was a big one for Brisbane. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Brisbane leading 2-0, the third baseman reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Zijlstra.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Luis Santana for Brisbane and Máximo Ángel for Houston.
