Raucous Baylor Ballpark Crowd Propels Bush Wackers to 3-1 Victory; Series Tied at 1
|
The Brisbane Bush Wackers topped the Houston Sting by the score of 3-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Single A League Championship today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and Brisbane starter Miguel Torres, who threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball in the win.
With no one out in the bottom of the first, Mario de Leon barreled up a fastball from Evan Charnley. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Bush Wackers in front, 2-1.
Torres said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
Game 3 is set to be played Wednesday, October 19th, 2033 in Houston. Slated to start are Alexis Nunez for the Brisbane Bush Wackers and Tim Marchman for the the Houston Sting.
