Road Win Lifts Pacifica to 2-1 Lead in R2
|
With starter Grant Huffman leading the charge, the Pacifica Shamrocks defeated the Wichita Wolverines, 5-1, in Game 3 of the Double A World Series today. The left-hander threw 6 innings allowing 1 run at Howling Park to help Pacifica take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Yeow-whye Jing didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a solo home run to put Pacifica on top, 1-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Jing told the Pacifica News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Howling Park in Wichita. Slated to start are James Stevens for the Pacifica Shamrocks and Carlos Muńóz for the the Wichita Wolverines.
