Galdos, Wolverines Wallop Rats in Game 3 of R1
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of third baseman Armando Galdos, the Wichita Wolverines got a road win against the Rock River Rats, 11-5, in Game 3 of the Double A League Championship today. Galdos was 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Wolverines, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
Francisco Enriquez, who is rated as the 77th best prospect by BNN, contributed to the Wichita win with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 3 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Galdos.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at The Rat Hole in California City. Slated to start are Luis Hernández for Wichita and Lúcio Barrón for Rock River.
