Almost There: Dallas On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 6-4 Win
The Dallas Texans moved to within one game of the Divisional Championship today, downing the visiting Rubber City Rhinos at Metroplex Park by a score of 6-4. Texans right-hander Dan Edwards was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Texans a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Esteban Ruíz aided the Dallas cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3 with a home run.

"We had a good game plan," Edwards said, "and we were able to execute it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Metroplex Park in Dallas. The scheduled starters for the game are Dylan Butlin for Rubber City and Tony López for Dallas.
