Johnston Handcuffs Rhinos, Texans Seize 2-1 Advantage in R1
The Dallas Texans got an exceptional performance from starter Paul Johnston, who silenced the Rubber City offense en route to a 6-0 shutout win in Game 3 of the Divisional Round today. The Rhinos could never get a bead on the right-handed Johnston, who threw 9 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors. The Texans now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Johnston pitched a complete game for Dallas. The 30-year-old right-hander was charged with no runs on 2 hits. He struck out 9 during his 118-pitch performance.

"Coach said he wanted 8 innings, so I decided to do him one better," Johnston said later.

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Sigfrid Arnim for Rubber City and Tony López for Dallas.
