Shamrocks, Hackers Play 13 to Settle Game 3, Pacifica Now Leads Series 2-1
As the Pacifica Shamrocks and Silicon Valley Hackers battled through extra innings, it was a rookie who made the difference.

Young Pacifica shortstop Ian Cutter, 22, took player of the game honors at San Jose Municipal Stadium today with a strong hitting performance in the 13-inning marathon. Cutter went 2-5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 during the 8-6 Pacifica win over the Hackers. The win gives the Shamrocks a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 Double A League Championship.

Ryuichi Ine's hit in the top of the 13th was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a slider from Quiang Tu for a run-scoring double. It put Pacifica in front, 7-6.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Cutter.

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at San Jose Municipal Stadium in San Jose. The scheduled starters for the game are Owen Kay for the Pacifica Shamrocks and T.J. Sparks for the the Silicon Valley Hackers.
