Allan Handcuffs Hornets, Mustangs Seize 2-0 Advantage in R1
|
The Mile High Mustangs got an exceptional performance from starter Ross Allan, who silenced the Eureka offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the Divisional Round today. The Hornets could never get a bead on the right-handed Allan, who threw 9 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors. The Mustangs now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Allan was in the zone all game. He frustrated Eureka hitters while giving the Mustangs 9 innings of quality work. Allan threw 138 pitches, allowing 7 hits and getting 5 punchouts.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Allan.
The next game is set to be played Tuesday, October 11th, 2033 at The Nest. The scheduled starters for the game are Jose Albertrani for Mile High and Walt Lawson for Eureka.
