Almost There: South Carolina On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 9-5 Win
The South Carolina Bombers moved to within one game of the Divisional Championship today, downing the visiting Bloomington Blazers at Bomber Ballpark by a score of 9-5. Bombers second baseman Baber Davi was named player of the game after he was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win gives the Bombers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Davi had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bombers went on to win.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Davi.

Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow at Bomber Ballpark in Columbia. The scheduled starters for the game are Oliver Romero for Bloomington and Ange Schmit for South Carolina.
