Almost There: Calgary On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 8-5 Win
|
Riding the 4-hit performance of catcher Trevor Ayotte, the Calgary Outlaws got a road win against the London Monarchs, 8-5, in Game 4 of the CBL League Championship today. Ayotte was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles for the Outlaws, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.
Calgary first baseman Dan Hodgson helped the Outlaws go up, 6-4, in the top of the third inning. With the game tied, Hodgson hit a 2-run home run off London pitcher Ricky Brown.
"Feels good to get the job done," Ayotte said after the game.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Hatchets Ballpark in London. The scheduled starters for the game are Larry Sentner for the Calgary Outlaws and Keith Ormon for the the London Monarchs.
