Indians Hammered by Quinn, Drop Game 7 to Patriots
|
The Francis Lewis Patriots moved to within one game of the Round 3 today, downing the visiting Jefferson Indians at Ottawa HS Grounds by a score of 4-1. Patriots second baseman Scott Quinn was named player of the game after he went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win gives the Patriots a 4-3 advantage in the best-of-7 Little League World Series.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Quinn hit a 2-run triple. It propelled the Patriots into the lead, 2-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Francis Lewis manager Justin Easton. "It's usually not just one thing."
