The Quebec Armada got a superb performance from pitcher Mitsuo Kobayashi. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Mile High. The Mustangs won the game, 1-0. In spite of the loss, Kobayashi was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. Mile High reliever Iván Vázquez picked up the win to move to 1-0. Mitsuo Kobayashi suffered the loss. Quan Que closed the door for Mile High, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Juan Mora. For the game, Mora was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Mile High a 1-0 lead.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Mora, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."

The loss lowers the Quebec record to 3-5.
