Coltrin Handcuffs Cardinals, Patriots Seize 4-0 Advantage in R1
|
The Francis Lewis Patriots moved to within one game of the Little League World Series today, downing the visiting Montreal Cardinals at Ottawa HS Grounds by a score of 8-1. Patriots left-hander Aaron Coltrin was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings of 2-hit ball. The win gives the Patriots a 4-0 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.
Coltrin gave Francis Lewis a solid start. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 9 innings.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Coltrin.
