Indians Hammered by Critch, Drop Game 5 to Islanders
The Grand Island Islanders have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Jefferson Indians, winning 11-6 at Ballpark of Morelia HS today. Islanders third baseman Andy Critch was named player of the game after he went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The win cuts the deficit facing the Islanders to 3-2 in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Critch had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Islanders went on to win.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Grand Island skipper Doug Taylor.

Game 6 is set to be played Sunday at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. The scheduled starters for the game are Travis Finch for Grand Island and Kyle Simon for Jefferson.
