Almost There: Jefferson On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 5-3 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of designated hitter Gil Partin, the Jefferson Indians got a road win against the Grand Island Islanders, 5-3, in Game 4 of the League Championship Series today. Partin was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Indians, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Partin had a consequential at-bat in the top of the third for the Indians. Coming up with a runner on 3rd and Jefferson trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run home run.

"We don't have much margin for error now," Islanders manager Doug Taylor said. "We need to figure out the problem and fix it, immediately."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Morelia HS in Grand Island. The scheduled starters for the game are Kyle Simon for Jefferson and Travis Finch for Grand Island.
