Wichita Wins to Cut Augusta Lead to 3-2
The Wichita Storm have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Augusta Rail Riders, winning 7-2 at Murderer's Row today. Storm right-hander Gabriel Mullin was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Storm to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Winter League Championship.

Wichita right fielder Ken Baker helped the Storm go up, 2-0, in the top of the second inning. With the game tied, Baker hit a 2-run home run off Augusta pitcher Yen-nien Pan.

Baker called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."

Game 6 is set to be played Thursday at The Storm Center. The scheduled starters for the game are Alberto Montoya for the Augusta Rail Riders and Alex Acevedo for the the Wichita Storm.
