Storm Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 2-0
The Wichita Storm got a strong performance from pitcher Alex Acevedo, who stymied the visiting Sedona Sabercats en route to a 8-2 win in Game 2 of the League Championship Series today. The Sabercats could never get a bead on the right-handed Acevedo, who threw 6 innings of shutout ball to earn player of the game honors. The Storm now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Roberto Lopez aided the Wichita cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 1 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Acevedo.

Game 3 is set to be played Friday, March 25th, 2033 at The Lair at Sabercat Field in Sedona. Slated to start are Tony Maldonado for Wichita and Ruben Fernandez for Sedona.
