Mullin, Wichita Start League Championship Series Strong with Home Win
The Wichita Storm powered past the visiting Sedona Sabercats, 3-1, in the opener of the League Championship Series at The Storm Center today. Wichita starting pitcher Gabriel Mullin threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Storm now lead the series 1-0.

Raymond Spurrell aided the Wichita cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It's a mindset," said Mullin. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

Game 2 is scheduled for tomorrow at The Storm Center in Wichita. Slated to start are Justin Beltrani for the Sedona Sabercats and Tony Maldonado for the the Wichita Storm.
