The Bomberos had to overcome a good performance from Union pitcher Omar Avalos to claim a 6-3 win at Poters Field. Avalos went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Kyle Lanthier got credit for the save for El Paso. It was his 1st of the year. El Paso, now 4-1, has played well in the early going.

Pete Leggett aided the El Paso cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Leggett. "And not try to do too much."
