Capone Hits 2 home runs in Bomberos Win
|
El Paso and Union took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
A 4-RBI performance from Cole Capone helped the El Paso Bomberos beat the Union Farmers, 8-7. Yorinobu Kern picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Alex Antunez was tagged with the loss. Zach Faulkner got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Capone had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 fastball from Alex Antunez, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Bomberos a 8-7 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Capone.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Capone said.
The Bomberos, now 2-1, have been playing some good baseball.
