Commies Need Extras to Top Revenge
|
Caribbean and Barbados duked it out at The Drunken Wench Stadium and the Commies came out victorious.
The Caribbean Commies topped the Barbados Revenge, 6-4, in Prince Fielder League action at The Drunken Wench Stadium. The player of the game was Caribbean pitcher Roberto Pacheco. Caribbean reliever Jose Laracuente picked up the win to move to 1-0. Aaron Carter suffered the loss.
Orlando Sanchez aided the Caribbean cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth. For the game, the second baseman went 2-2 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Pacheco, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The Commies, now 2-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
