McKoy goes 3-for-4, Rangers Move to 3-2
|
The Rockville Rangers defeated the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 9-1, at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium today. Leading the charge for Rockville was first baseman Omar McKoy. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Rockville, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Rockville grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when McKoy, who is rated as the 8th best prospect by BNN, hit a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Rangers out in front, 2-0.
In postgame comments to the Rockville News, McKoy said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
