Big Day by Suzuki Ignites Mafia Win

The New York Mafia beat the Havana Stogies, 9-6, at Don Corleone Park. New York designated hitter Yoshihiro Suzuki earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Even with the win, the Mafia have a dismal 31-60 record.
Suzuki had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Mafia went on to win.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Suzuki.
