|
Cabo San Lucas designated hitter George Guinn had a good game, even if his team did not. The Toreros dropped a 6-5 decision to Maple at Legends Park. Guinn went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. Maple reliever Hariz Sahir was credited with the win, to go to 4-0. Ashley Heath took the loss for Cabo San Lucas. The Marauders own a robust 59-26 mark.
Had Jorge Zamora not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Zamora hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Marauders.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Zamora said.
