Francis Goes Off, But Cardinals Win
Tioga Central third baseman Marcus Francis pounded Montreal Cardinals pitchers at Alleycats Ballpark, but it was not enough to keep the Tigers from falling, 12-9. Francis hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Montreal is now 45-21, 3 games up in the Pete Rose League Roger Clemens Division.

The Cardinals got a big at-bat from catcher Tyler Priester. For the game, Priester went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Montreal a 12-9 lead.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Priester.
