The Mustangs had to overcome a good performance from Kearny High pitcher I-po Liu to claim a 5-4 win at Silvertips Ballpark. Liu went 7.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. San Marin goes to 28-36, Kearny High to 29-35.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With San Marin trailing 4-3, Freddy Ramos hit a slider from Lou Butt to right for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Mustangs had a walk-off win.
